FIRST HOME BUYER GRANT DOUBLED & TRIPLED

The Federal Government this week announced the fabulous news that it has doubled the First Home Owner Grant from $7,000 to $14,000 for established homes, and tripled the First Home Owner Grant from $7,000 to $21,000 for newly constructed homes.

BUT WAIT.....THERE'S MORE !.......................

  1. Victorians buying an established home will also receive an additional $3,000 from the Victorian State Government to make a Total First Home Owner Grant of $17,000

  2. Victorians buying a newly constructed home will also receive an additional $5,000 from the Victorian State Government to make a Total First Home Owner Grant of $26,000 ($29,000 if buying in Regional Victoria)

  3. W.A.,  Northern Territory, NSW, and Queensland First Home Buyers pay NO Stamp Duty which saves thousands off the cost of buying

At this stage, this boost to the First Home Owner Grant is for a limited time only that ends 30/6/09, and which will provide many the opportunity of getting into the property market with little or no deposit.

This move by the Federal Government designed to stimulate the economy has been welcomed by the housing industry, which says it will provide a much needed boost to the housing sector.  A good performance in the housing sector is critical for the economy's overall performance, and the Housing Industry Association (HIA) expects the move to result in an extra 15,000 houses to be built around Australia over the next 12 months.

If you are, or know of a potential first home buyer, then this latest development is literally "Money For Jam" and is a window of opportunity not to be missed.
